■〈Food Knowledge〉The difference between "Agu" and "Agu"

At our restaurant, you can enjoy rare, genuine, pure-blooded Agu, which is a cross between two native Ryukyu Agu pigs. Generally, "Agu pig" refers to a pig that is a cross between a native Ryukyu Agu pig and a Western pig, and "Agu pig" written in hiragana is a product that is a registered trademark by the JA, and refers to a pig that is a cross between the native Agu pig and half Landrace and half Large Yorkshire.

Our store has undergone DNA testing by the Okinawa Prefectural Livestock Improvement Association, a public interest incorporated association, and has been certified as a purebred Aguu pig that is a cross between two native Ryukyu Agu pigs.In addition, the taste difference between the widely eaten Agu (a cross between Western-style pigs) and the cross between purebred Agu has been given the highest rating in a taste sensory evaluation conducted by Okinawa Prefecture in the "Reiwa 3 Okinawa Pork Consumption Revitalization Project."
